Common use of Promotional Step Placement Clause in Contracts

Promotional Step Placement. Any employee whose assignment is changed to a position in a classification with a higher salary range shall advance to the step in the new salary range that provides at least a five percent (5%) salary increase over his/her previous scheduled salary. Employees shall receive an additional step placement increment for every full year of service completed as an out-of-class assignment in the promotional classification.
