Common use of Provision of Legal Counsel Clause in Contracts

Provision of Legal Counsel. The Township shall provide to the Employee such legal assistance in conjunction with existing insurance coverage as shall be required or needed as a result of the acts occurring when and while said Employee is in the performance of his/her police duties and responsibilities; provided that there is no obvious and purposeful violation of the law by the Employee. This shall apply only to civil suits.
