Provisional Cadre Substitutes. A provisional cadre substitute is a teacher with day-to-day substitute teacher credentials who is employed on a school year basis and who is assigned to work only on student attendance days. A principal may permit a Provisional Cadre Substitute Teacher to work on professional development and report card pick-up days, provided that the local school pays for the cost of such services. A provisional cadre substitute who obtains a full teacher licensure shall be reclassified as a Cadre substitute teacher.
