Provisions for the Accrual of Sick Leave. (a) Permanent full-time and part-time employees shall be credited at the end of the first month of employment of each contract year with an allotment of sick leave hours equal to the hours of the employee’s work day times four. Thereafter, at the end of each month of employment, an employee shall be credited with sick leave hours equal to the hours of the employee’s work day, provided the employee has been on duty or compensable leave for a minimum of eleven (11) days within the month. (Example: An employee on a five hour daily schedule will initially be credited with twenty (20) hours and thereafter, each month will earn an additional five (5) hours of sick leave.)
