Public Participation. 79. This Consent Decree shall be lodged with the Court for a period of not less than 30 Days for public notice and comment in accordance with 28 C.F.R. ' 50.
Public Participation. Conformity determinations for MTP and TIPs shall follow the specific public involvement process established by the MPO, consistent with the requirements of 23 CFR, Part 450, which provides opportunity for public review and comment prior to formal action on a conformity determination. The public review must provide reasonable public access to technical and policy information considered by the affected parties in making the conformity determination. Conformity determinations in rural portions of nonattainment and maintenance areas outside and adjacent to the MPO boundaries shall follow the specific public involvement process established by NCDOT, consistent with the requirements of 23 CFR, Part 450, which provides opportunity for public review and comment prior to formal action to update the STIP. Any charges imposed for public review and copying should be consistent with applicable fee schedules including but not limited to 49 CFR 7.43 and North Carolina General Statute 132-6.2.
Public Participation. The Parties agree that this Agreement and any subsequent proposed remedial action alternative(s) and subsequent plan(s) for remedial or corrective action or permitting/closure action at the Hanford Site arising out of this Agreement shall comply with the administrative record and, public participation requirements of CERCLA, including CERCLA Secs. 117 and 113(k), the NCP, and EPA guidance on public participation and administrative records, or the public participation requirements of RCRA and Ch. 70.105 RCW. 128. DOE shall develop and implement a Community Relations Plan, now known as the Public Involvement Plan (PIP) which responds to the need for an interactive relationship with all interested community elements, both on and off Hanford, regarding activities and elements of work undertaken by DOE under this Agreement. DOE agrees to develop and implement the PIP in a manner consistent with CERCLA Sec. 117, the NCP, EPA guidelines set forth in EPA’s Community Relations Handbook, and any modifications thereto, and the public participation requirements of RCRA and Ch. 70.105 RCW. The PIP is subject to the review and approval by EPA and Ecology under Article XV (Review of Documents).
Public Participation. 4.1 There shall be established Abyei Area Council comprised of not more than twenty members.
4.2 Prior to elections, the Presidency shall appoint the members of the Abyei Area Council.
4.3 The Abyei Area Council shall:
4.3.1 Issue local enactments within the powers of local government and on customary matters;
4.3.2 Approve the budget of the Area;
4.3.3 Adopt reconstruction, development and urbanization plans for the Area;
4.3.4 If necessary, recommend to the Presidency the relief of the Chief Administrator or his/her Deputy;
4.3.5 Participate in the promotion of reconciliation efforts in the Area.
Public Participation. DTSC requires that specific public engagement activities be conducted for projects undergoing a cleanup. However, based on the level of community interest, media interest, sensitive land uses, demographics and other factors, as determined by DTSC, public engagement activities may be requested for other projects types as well. [Agency] will be responsible for all costs associated with the translation and/or interpretation of public participation content required under DTSC’s policies, procedures, guidance documents, and state and federal law. For the cleanup:
11.1 [Agency] shall conduct appropriate public participation activities given the nature of the community surrounding the Site and the level of community interest, if needed. [Agency] shall work cooperatively with DTSC to ensure that the affected and interested public and community are involved in DTSC's decision-making process. Any such public participation activities shall be conducted in accordance with Health and Safety Code sections 25358.7, and with DTSC's review and approval.
11.2 A scoping meeting regarding the cleanup will include a discussion on the appropriate activities that will be conducted to address public participation.
11.3 DTSC may conduct an assessment of community interest in the Site, which may include, but will not be limited to, the development of a survey, outreach to local elected and public officials and community members, distribution of the survey through mail and/or social media, analysis of survey results, and community interviews. Results of the survey will be shared with the [Agency] and should be included in the community profile.
11.4 [Agency], working collaboratively with DTSC, shall prepare a community profile to examine the level of the community's knowledge of the Site; the types of community concerns; the proximity of the Site to homes and/or schools, day care facilities, churches, etc.; the current and proposed use of the Site; media interest; surrounding land uses; demographic profile and languages; CalEnviroScreen results; information repositories; recommended public engagement activities; and involvement of community groups and elected officials. The community profile may also include a quarter-mile radius mailing list for the Site, a list of applicable elected officials, and any known community members who may have expressed an interest in the Site.
11.5 [Agency], working collaboratively with DTSC, shall develop and submit fact sheets or community updates to...
Public Participation. Until Partial Site Release, Holtec will conduct annual stakeholder information forums, within ninety (90) days of the date Holtec submits the report required by 10 C.F.R, § 50.75(f)(1), to inform the public of about the status of Pilgrim’s emergency plans and Pilgrim’s operating, decommissioning, site restoration, and spent nuclear fuel management work and to solicit public comments. Holtec will establish and maintain a website that is accessible to the public as another venue to disseminate this information. Holtec shall provide the public with reasonable notice of the date and location for each annual stakeholder information forum, provided, however, that the date for each Forum shall not coincide with a meeting held by the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel.
Public Participation. The teleconference is open to the public. Written statements may be filed with the Board either before or after the meeting. Members of the public who wish to make oral statements pertaining to agenda items should contact ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ at the address or telephone number listed above. Requests to make oral comments must be received five days prior to the conference call; reasonable provision will be made to include requested topic(s) on the agenda. The Chair of the Board is empowered to conduct the call in a fashion that will facilitate the orderly conduct of business.
Public Participation. It is the intent of the Council to conduct public participation processes concurrently and jointly with processes undertaken by the Parties and through Regional Review. To ensure adequate public participation, each Party or the Council shall ensure procedures for the review of Proposals subject to the Standard of Review and Decision consistent with the following requirements:
1. Provide public notification of receipt of all Applications and a reasonable opportunity for the public to submit comments before Applications are acted upon.
2. Assure public accessibility to all documents relevant to an Application, including public comment received.
3. Provide guidance on standards for determining whether to conduct a public meeting or hearing for an Application, time and place of such a meeting(s) or hearing(s), and procedures for conducting of the same.
4. Provide the record of decision for public inspection including comments, objections, responses and approvals, approvals with conditions and disapprovals.
Public Participation. The Municipality shall hold a public participation process for the Project that is appropriate for the scope of work and acceptable to MaineDOT’s Project Manager. The Municipality shall provide MaineDOT with a public process certification that is modeled after Letter 10 from the LPA Manual, as part of the Project’s environmental package. NEPA PROCESS. MaineDOT will lead the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance process for the Project. The Municipality shall provide MaineDOT with signed Letter 11 from the LPA Manual and the completed NEPA Documentation Checklist to assist with this work.
Public Participation. The Project Signatories will provide opportunities for public participation pursuant to the rulemaking and the terms of this FPA in accordance with Section III.C. of this FPA.
