(c) no decorations are to be put near light fittings or heaters.
10.5. In advance of any activity whether regulated entertainment or not the Hirer shall check the followingfollowing items:
(ia) All that all fire exits are unlocked and panic bolts in good working order.;

Your signature on the Booking Form signifies that you will comply with this during your period of hire. The contents pertain to the SAFETY of all HIRERS and hence should be read and followed by ALL users.
(vii) As appropriate, Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans 1. The Hirer is responsible for the safety of those present. The Trustees have been completed identified some areas of potential risk particularly to small children. Hirers should ensure that small children are supervised: In the kitchen or when near stacks of chairs or tables. There may be other items representing some risk and the Hirer should examine the Hall to identify these.
2. The Hirer will control the attendance numbers to ensure that the Hall capacity is not exceeded as specified in order to provide suitable information clause 3 of the hiring agreement.
3. Layout plans are set out on the persons most at risk within notice board. 1. At the commencement of the event the Hirer should announce to all present the position of the emergency exits. He/she should advise that in any incident requiring evacuation of the building, after leaving the building people should move away from the vicinity of the exit to allow free passage for all others following.
2. The Hirer must ensure that any seating or table arrangements DO NOT BLOCK THE FIRE EXITS, and leave a free direct passageway of at least 1.05m to the exit and furniture must be arranged so that clearly identifiable gangways are provided.
3. The Hirer will ensure that noise is kept to an acceptable level and that inhabitants of neighbouring properties are not disturbed.
4. It should be noted that the Hall is a public place and it is therefore against the law to smoke or permit anyone to smoke anywhere inside the building.
5. When persons in wheelchairs or other disabled persons are in attendance the Hirer should ensure that adequate measures are taken to enable such persons to evacuate the building in an emergency, in a manner which is safe, without undue delay, and does not cause obstruction to the other members of the public using the premises.
6. The Hirer is responsible for the evacuation of the building and, without compromising his on safety, should ensure nobody is in the toilets or kitchen
7. The Hirer must ensure that any portable electrical equipment used in the hall is safe to use.

The User shall ensure that the minimum of noise is made on arrival and departure, particularly late at night and early in the morning. The User shall, if using sound amplification equipment, make use of any noise limitation device provided at the premises and comply with any other licensing condition for the premises. The User shall ensure that in order to avoid disturbing neighbours to The Hall and avoid violent or criminal behaviour; care shall be taken to avoid excessive consumption of alcohol. No illegal drugs may be brought onto the premises. Drunk and disorderly behaviour shall not be permitted either on the premises or in its immediate vicinity. Any person suspected of being drunk, under the influence of drugs or who is behaving in a violent or disorderly way shall be asked to leave the premises in accordance with the Licensing Xxx 0000. The User shall, if preparing, serving or selling food, observe all relevant food health and hygiene legislation and regulations. In particular dairy products, vegetables and meat on the premises must be refrigerated and stored in compliance with the Food Temperature Regulations. The premises are provided with a refrigerator and thermometer. The User shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the User must make use of it in the interests of public safety. The User will ensure that all portable electrical appliances brought into the building for use have a current XXX certificate. The Community hall accepts no responsibility for any stored equipment or other property brought on to or left at the premises, and all liability for loss or damage is hereby excluded. All equipment and other property (other than stored equipment) must be removed at the end of each use or fees will be charged for each day or part of a day at the fee per use until the same is removed. The Community Hall may use its discretion in any of the following circumstances:
(a) Failure by the User either to pay any charges in respect of stored equipment due and payable or to remove the same within 7 days after the agreed storage period has ended.
(viib) As appropriate, Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans have been completed in order Failure by the User to provide suitable information dispose of any property brought on the persons most at risk within the premises, how they will react to the fire alarm premises for the purposes of the use. Health and Hygiene Animals The Hirer shall, if preparing, serving or selling food, observe all relevant food health and hygiene legislation and regulations. In particular dairy products, vegetables and meat on the premises must be refrigerated and stored in compliance with all applicable temperature control legislation. The Hirer shall ensure that no animals (including birds) except guide dogs are brought into the premises, how they will react unless agreed in advance by the MVHT. No animals whatsoever are to enter the kitchen area at any time. Electrical Equipment Safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them, or invited third party, to the fire alarm premises and how they used there shall be in safe and good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is available the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety. Any failure of equipment belonging to the MVHT must be reported as soon as possible. There is a maximum 3 metre height restriction for bouncy castles/inflatable toys that are to be evacuatedused inside the premises. The use of ‘bubble machines’ is not permitted.
