Publicly Regulated Transportation Providers. (a) For subcontracted transportation providers, where their rates and operations are publicly regulated through RCW Chapter 46.72, (transportation of passengers in for hire vehicles) the Contractor shall ensure no less than the minimum insurance standards set by law. (b) For subcontracted transportation providers that are other publicly regulated entities and where their rates and operations are publicly regulated, subcontractors must comply with state law and regulations of the responsible regulation agency, such as the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC).
