Recall Rights for Laid Off Employees. A. Employees who are laid off shall be retained on a recall list for twenty-four (24) months from the effective date of the layoff. Employees on the recall list have a right to bid on vacancies and shall be sent notification of vacancies by certified mail to their last address on file with the District. For bidding purposes, employees on the recall list shall be considered to be in the classification held by the employee at the time he/she was laid off.
