Recalled Employee. Employees recalled into the department and position from which they were laid off shall not be subject to a new probationary period. The probationary period for an employee who has been laid off and is recalled into the department of layoff into a position other than the position the employee was laid off from shall be three (3) months. Re- employment in other departments shall be subject to the probationary period for New Hires, as outlined in 3.a above. If the employee fails the probationary period, they will be placed back on the recall list for the remainder of the recall period.
