Common use of RECOGNITION AND COVERAGE Clause in Contracts

RECOGNITION AND COVERAGE. SECTION 1. This article applies to employees covered under the CMLA as described by the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA). The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the exclusive representative of all employees in the consolidated units, as described in decisions of the FLRA. If either of these units is modified by the FLRA, this agreement shall apply to the unit or units as modified. SECTION 2. As the exclusive representative, the AFGE has delegated to the Council of Marine Corps Locals, Council 240 (the Council), authority to act for, and to negotiate agreements covering all employees in the above bargaining units. The Council is responsible for representing the interests for all employees in the bargaining units without discrimination and without regard to membership in the AFGE.
