Recommendation Prior to Completion of Probationary Period. In the final performance evaluation of the designated probationary period (end of the fifth month) the appointing authority shall furnish the Personnel Officer a recommendation as to whether the probationary employee has been satisfactory and to be considered for regular appointment in the class. If the probationary employee is recommended for a regular appointment to the class, the Department Head shall indicate the effective date on the form specified by the Personnel Officer; otherwise, the Department Head is to effect the demotion of the probationary employee. If the Department Head has not provided the Personnel Officer with a favorable recommendation by the beginning of the final month of the designated probationary period, the Personnel Officer shall notify the probationary employee of pending demotion unless performance has improved satisfactorily during the last thirty (30) days or that the probationary period may be extended. If recommendation is made for demotion of the probationary employee by the Department Head, a written report of the reasons for said action shall be furnished to the Personnel Officer.

  • Completion of Probationary Period An employee who has completed the probationary period may be suspended without pay or discharged only for just cause.

  • Office of Inspector General Investigative Findings Expert Review In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 531.102(m-1)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Initial Probationary Period An employee in an initial probationary period shall have no seniority until completion of his/her probationary period. Upon the completion of said probation, the employee will acquire seniority from his/her original date of hire. An employee who has a continuous period of temporary, interim, intermittent or seasonal employment prior to receiving permanent appointment shall acquire seniority for such time only if that permanent appointment occurred prior to July 1, 1989.
