Common use of Reduction and Disconnection Clause in Contracts

Reduction and Disconnection. Transmission Provider or Transmission Owner may reduce Interconnection Service or disconnect the Generating Facility or the Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Facilities, when such reduction or disconnection is necessary under Good Utility Practice due to Emergency Conditions. These rights are separate and distinct from any right of curtailment of Transmission Provider pursuant to the Tariff. When Transmission Provider can schedule the reduction or disconnection in advance, Transmission Provider shall notify Interconnection Customer of the reasons, timing and expected duration of the reduction or disconnection. Transmission Provider shall coordinate with Interconnection Customer and Transmission Owner using Good Utility Practice to schedule the reduction or disconnection during periods of least impact to Interconnection Customer, Transmission Owner and Transmission Provider. Any reduction or disconnection shall continue only for so long as reasonably necessary pursuant to Good Utility Practice.
