Redundancy Plan. 1. The contents of the redundancy plan will depend on the nature and content of the intended reorganization. If the intended reorganization is aimed at reducing the number of jobs significantly, the measures in the redundancy plan will in the first instance be aimed at preventing forced unemployment. The redundancy plan will include a package of agreements which may include the following: • reassignment; • temporary position; • retraining, additional training, refresher courses; • outplacement and other forms of external support to increase the employee’s chances on the labour market; • measures to remove impediments for natural turnover; • the redundancy criteria if forced redundancy proves unavoidable; • the period covered by the measures. 2. The local CA consultations will aim to complete the consultations regarding the redundancy plan to be implemented within three months of the notification of the reorganization. In joint consultation, the parties may submit a request to the local CA consultations for assistance or mediation. The employer will report the agreements in the redundancy plan to the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment (Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid (SZW)), Directorate Implementation Legislation Employment Conditions (Uitvoeringstaken Arbeidsvoorwaardenwetgeving (UAW)) as CA arrangements.
