Regular Law Enforcement Officers. Regular Law Enforcement Officers shall be those officers which have been certified by the State of Texas as peace officers and commissioned accordingly by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office. While on duty under the terms of this Agreement, Regular Law Enforcement Officers are to be paid at one-and-a-half times his regular hourly rate. Any personnel above the rank of Sergeant shall have their hourly rate under this contract capped at a maximum dollar amount no greater than the payrate for the top paid Sergeant within the department. The maximum funds to be expended on Regular Law Enforcement Officers under the terms of this Agreement shall be $133,136.64 including vehicle expense listed below in 2.04 (C.).
