Common use of Reimbursement for Advanced Courses Clause in Contracts

Reimbursement for Advanced Courses. Employees shall be reimbursed by their appointing authority for tuition, course-related fees and other course-required and approved costs paid for advanced courses in their field which will help improve their skills and improve the services provided by the State and which are taken while in the employ of the State, provided that prior approval for taking any such course shall have been obtained from the appointing authority and provided that the employee shall have met the agency's requirements for satisfactory completion of the course. Each appointing authority shall endeavor to allocate a reasonable amount of available funds in each fiscal year to reimburse employees for such approved advanced courses.
