Common use of Reinstatement Rights Clause in Contracts

Reinstatement Rights. If an employee who has been laid off returns to College service within three (3) years of the effective date of his or her layoff, the employee will have all unused sick leave restored to his or her sick leave balance. Reinstated employees shall receive service credit for all time periods of State and College employment. This credit shall determine the step in pay grade and rate of annual leave accrual.
