Common use of Rejection of Trial Period Clause in Contracts

Rejection of Trial Period. An employee who has more than one (1) year of continuous employment, and who ceases to be employed for reason of rejection during his or her trial period immediately following a second or subsequent appointment, shall be paid severance pay equal to the product obtained by multiplying his or her weekly rate of pay on termination of employment by the number of completed years of continuous employment as of that date to a maximum of twenty-seven (27) years, less any period in respect of which he or she was paid severance pay by the Employer.
