RELATION TO PRINCIPAL AGREEMENT. The County and the Union enter into an Agreement covering wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment of Operating Engineer Trainees for the period from December 1, 2021 through (no later than) November 30, 2025, which is the principal Agreement which shall apply to Trainees unless there is a different and specific provision solely applicable to Trainees in this Agreement. Where such different and specific provisions solely applicable for Trainees are made herein, they shall govern. The County reserves the right to discontinue the Trainee program if sufficient funding is not available.
