Common use of Religious Tenets Exception Clause in Contracts

Religious Tenets Exception. Employees who are determined by the Public Employment Relations Commission to satisfy the religious exemption requirements of RCW 41.56.122 shall pay an amount equivalent to regular Union dues and initiation fees. Those individuals paying religious exemption (non-association) fees will be afforded payroll deductions the same as Union members. Non-association fees will be paid to a non-religious charity mutually agreed upon by the employee affected and the Union to which such employee would otherwise pay the regular monthly dues.
