REMEDIATION EFFORT. It is recognized that the District prior to terminating a 22 permanent employee should have made an effort at remediation. Examples of such 23 efforts include verbal and written warnings, suspension with or without pay, or any 24 other appropriate effort to correct or remediate an employee’s unsatisfactory 25 fulfillment of his/her job responsibilities, unsatisfactory attendance, or unsatisfactory 26 personal conduct. 27
