The Association President or the assigned employee shall arrange for his/her substitute, if needed, by utilizing the District’s Substitute Caller System.
The Association President. As deemed necessary by the Board In accordance with the ruling of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, June 27, 2018, Fair Share Fee has been declared to be unconstitutional and therefore unenforceable. Should the Legislative Branch of the United State Government determine that Fair Share Fee is a viable option, Article 3, J, Fair Share Fee from the 2015-2018 Negotiated Agreement shall immediately be reinstated to the current Negotiated Agreement between the Coshocton City Board of Education and the Coshocton City Education Association and any needed changes due to differences in law be negotiated within sixty (60) calendar days.
The Association President. Treasurer, and Secretary shall receive one (1) copy of all postings via school email.
The Association President may work a reduced assignment. The President opting for a reduced assignment may elect to be paid by the District as a full-time teacher. The Association shall reimburse the District for all costs of the reduced assignment in accordance with the following schedule, whichever is the least:
10.9.3.1 When there is a clear one-to-one position match between the Association President and the replacement, all costs charged to the Association shall be for the actual replacement for the Association President who is on full or partial Association Leave; or
10.9.3.2 When there is no clear one-to-one position match between the Association President and the replacement, all costs charged to the Association shall be calculated based on the average cost of the temporary teachers hired in the district as of November 1 of that school year; or
10.9.3.3 When no replacement can be hired by the district to render the services normally provided by the Association President and those services must be provided by a non-public agency/service provider, all costs charged to the Association shall be the actual costs for the Association President.
The Association President may work a reduced assignment. The President opting for a reduced assignment may elect to be paid by the District as a full-time teacher. The Association shall reimburse the District for all costs of the reduced assignment in accordance with the following schedule: The Association will reimburse the district all salary related costs and burdens of Step A-1 of the Certificated Salary Schedule. The payment may be made in two installments with full payment due by June 30th of each year.
The Association President and Negotiating Team Chairperson shall be provided a full agenda and minutes of regular Board meetings at no cost.
The Association President as a condition of receiving the release time as stated above, must notify the District in writing, each semester of his/her option and the period or day in which the Association President will be taking that release time during the semester. If the Association President is an elementary teacher, the Association President must choose option 2.2.1.1 above.
The Association President or a designee, shall have the right to visit the facilities of the County or Sheriff as necessary in order to represent or service employees covered by this Agreement. These visitation rights shall not interfere with work operations or security measures.
The Association President so released shall not experience a break in service or seniority during the release assignment and shall be compensated pursuant to this Agreement.
The Association President up to one (1) hour per week of released time for conducting business that pertains to Local 3. The Association President may assign any portion of his/her released time to one other worker for Association business. A request to increase the one (1) hour per week of released time for special circumstances may be made by OE3 to the Director of Human Resources.
