Remote Interpreting. AOC will reimburse the Court for 50% of the cost of using certified, registered, or otherwise qualified interpreters providing interpretation by telephone or video for legal proceedings.
Remote Interpreting. In accordance with Article 13 and in addition to Section V of the Agreement, the following provisions shall apply to remote interpreting.
Remote Interpreting. Remote Interpreting is interpreting performed at a distance. Remote interpreting has two main types: over-the-phone interpreting and video remote interpreting. On the phone interpreting (OPI) is always carried out consecutively, while the mode of video remote interpreting may be either consecutive (VRI – video remote interpreting) or simultaneous (RSI - remote simultaneous interpreting). Remote interpreting services are recommended for shorter meetings or when it is difficult to arrange for transporting the negotiating partners and the interpreter to the same location. As compared to on-site interpreting, remote interpreting is mentally more stressful, so it is the basic interest of all market players that remote interpreters are assisted with preparatory materials.
Remote Interpreting. 3.2.1 For on-demand Remote Interpreting Services, the Customer shall call Language Line TI Ltd’s free phone telephone number as specified in Schedule 1 and select the option for Remote Interpreting or access the Service via App or Language Line TI Ltd Customer Portal. The Customer should then provide their Unique PIN and the language they require. The Customer will then be connected to an Interpreter. Language Line TI Ltd will not provide a job reference number for the call until it is invoiced. 3.2.2 The Customer shall submit pre-booked Remote Interpreting Work Requests to Language Line TI Ltd via the Language Line TI Ltd Customer Portal. In the event that the Customer cannot access the Language Line TI Ltd Customer Portal, Customer shall notify Language Line TI Ltd of this, and Language Line TI Ltd will accept pre-booked Remote Interpreting Work Requests via telephone or email. The Customer will be provided with a job reference number. The Customer will be required to provide their Unique PIN to make a Work Request. 3.2.3 Language Line TI Ltd shall confirm the acceptance of a pre-booked Remote Interpreting Work Request through the provision of a job reference number. Language Line TI Ltd will then begin the search for an Interpreter and availability of an interpreter will be confirmed via email. The Customer will connect to an Interpreter via the call invite link from their own platform, which they will include in the Work Request details for the Interpreter to access at the booked start time, or, via the LiveLINK platform as agreed.
