Common use of Remote Relative Clause in Contracts

Remote Relative. A. One (1) day's absence without loss of pay to attend the funeral will be allowed when the death is that of a more remote relative; i.e., stepbrother, stepsister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or first cousin.
