Common use of Removal from Premises or Temporary Suspension Clause in Contracts

Removal from Premises or Temporary Suspension. 13 Nothing in this Article shall prohibit the Employer from the imposition of an emergency 14 disciplinary suspension and/or removal of an employee from the premises in cases 15 where, in the judgment of the Employer, such action is warranted. As soon as 16 practicable thereafter, investigation and the Disciplinary Conference procedures 17 described herein shall be undertaken and completed. An Appointing Authority may 18 suspend an employee for investigation. The suspension shall be superseded by 19 disciplinary suspension, dismissal, or reinstatement within seven (7) calendar days 20 unless extended by the Appointing Authority. Notice of the extension shall be 21 concurrently served upon MSEA and the employee, stating the reasons therefore. If 22 disciplinary action is not taken against an employee within the seven (7) days (or 23 extension), the employee shall receive full pay and benefits for the period of temporary 24 suspension.
