Common use of Report Time Clause in Contracts

Report Time. If an employee reports for work in accordance with instructions, he or she shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at his or her straight time base rate, including shift differential where applicable. Report time will not apply in case of emergency shutdowns arising out of any condition beyond the Company’s control. An employee who leaves work of his or her own volition, or because of incapacity (other than industrial injury or illness), or is discharged or suspended after beginning work, will be paid only for the number of hours actually worked during that day. An employee who leaves work because of incapacity due to industrial injury or illness will be paid eight (8) hours pay at his or her straight time base rate, including shift differential where applicable.
