Report to Law Enforcement Agency. In accordance with Education Code section 87014, whenever any Unit member is attacked, assaulted or menaced by any student, it shall be the duty of that Unit member, and the duty of any person under whose direct supervision the Unit member is employed who has knowledge of the incident, to promptly report the same to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. Education Code section 87014 also provides as follows: failure to make the report shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $200.00. Any action by a member of the governing board or any Unit member of the District which is designed to directly or indirectly urge or influence a Unit member not to make the report shall also be a misdemeanor, and shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $100.00 and not more than $200.00.
