Common use of REPRESENTATIVE ROLE Clause in Contracts

REPRESENTATIVE ROLE. Members of any recognized employee organization may, by a reasonable method, select not more than five (5) employee members of such organization to meet and confer with the Municipal Employee Relations Officer and other management officials (after written certification of such selection is provided by an authorized official of the organization) on subjects within the scope of representation during regular duty or work hours without loss of compensation or other benefits. The employee organization shall, whenever practicable, submit the name(s) of each employee representative to the Municipal Employee Relations Officer at least two working days in advance of such meeting. Provided further that no employee representative shall leave their duty or workstation or assignment without specific approval of the department head or other authorized City management official.
