Grievance Representatives. Within 30 working days after the execution of this Agreement, the Union shall furnish the Xxxxxxx with a list of all persons authorized to act as the Chapter and UPI Local Grievance Representatives and shall update the list as changes occur. The designated Chapter Grievance Representative shall be an employee of the University and shall have the responsibility to meet classes, office hours, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. If the responsibilities of the Chapter Grievance Representative require rescheduling of the representative's University duties, the representative may, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.
Grievance Representatives. The UFF shall annually furnish to the board and University a list of all persons authorized to act as grievance representatives and shall update the list as needed. The UFF grievance representative shall have the responsibility to meet all classes, office hours, and other duties and responsibilities incidental to the assigned workload. Some of these activities are scheduled to be performed at particular times. Such representative shall have the right during times outside of those hours scheduled for these activities to investigate, consult, and prepare grievance presentations and attend grievance hearings and meetings. Should any hearings or meetings with the President, Board or their representatives necessitate rescheduling of assigned duties, the representative may with the approval of the appropriate administrator, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Grievance Representatives a. Employees may represent themselves at all stages of the procedure or, at their election, be represented by a Union xxxxxxx.
b. An employee who reasonably believes that an interrogation may result in disciplinary action is entitled to be represented by a union representative, attorney or other individual should such a request be made by the employee.
c. Union grievance representatives have the right to paid release time under the grievance procedure herein subject to the following:
(1) The Union may designate up to 12 employees as stewards to serve as grievance representatives. Each xxxxxxx, except the Chief Xxxxxxx, will be assigned to a specific job site. Employees shall not be represented by more than one xxxxxxx, except for the Chief Xxxxxxx. The Union shall notify the City Manager and the Human Resources Manager in writing of any changes in the designated stewards and their assigned job site representation. There will be no obligation on the City to change or adjust normal departmental scheduling or assignments of personnel as a result of such designations. Such designations shall be made from amongst employees regularly working at the job sites within the proximate geographic area where they are intended to service grievances.
(2) One such representative may attend mutually scheduled grievance meetings and hearings with management representatives without loss of pay or benefits. In no event shall this paid release time be used for any other purpose, such as gathering information, interviewing the grievant or witnesses, or preparing a presentation.
(3) Accredited non-employee representatives may be admitted to the buildings and grounds of the City during working hours for the purpose of assisting in the adjustment of grievances, so long as such will not unreasonably interfere with work operations or the safety and security of the work site. Such representative will check in with the supervisor involved and will be required to conform with the reasonable directions of the supervisor concerning timing and duration of the visit, and the operational and safety procedures to be complied with.
Grievance Representatives. UFF-USF-GAU shall furnish annually to the University a list of all persons authorized to act as grievance representatives no later than August 7th each year and shall update the list as needed. The UFF-USF-GAU grievance representative shall have the responsibility to meet all instructional, research, and other duties and responsibilities incidental to the assigned workload. Some of these activities are scheduled to be performed at particular times. Such representative shall have the right, during times outside of the hours scheduled for these activities, to investigate, consult, and prepare grievance presentations and attend grievance meetings. Should any hearings or meetings with the University, the President, the Board, or their representatives necessitate rescheduling of assigned duties, the representative may, with the approval of the appropriate administrator, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Grievance Representatives. Grievant and Grievance Representatives shall not receive overtime pay to engage in grievance activities. However, grievance meetings at Step Three shall be held at a time agreeable to all parties. The Lodge shall notify the Chief, in writing, of the names of the Grievance Representatives and the Grievance Chairman within thirty (30) days of their appointment.

Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Grievance Representatives. Each Association may designate one employee or his/her alternate in each area or district to function as its grievance representative for the region in which he/she is employed. Each grievance representative shall have the authority to determine the validity of grievances and to process them through the appropriate steps of the grievance procedure.

Such representative shall have the right during times outside of those hours scheduled for these activities to investigate, consult, and prepare grievance presentations and attend grievance hearings and meetings. However, such investigations and consultations will not interfere with the normal operations of the University. Should any grievance hearings or meetings necessitate rescheduling of assigned duties, the representative may, with the approval of the appropriate administrator, arrange for the fulfillment of such duties. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Grievance Representatives. There shall be named, by the Union, a grievance committee chairman with three (3 grievance representatives on each platoon.) These names shall be submitted to the Chief’s office within seven (7) days after their selection.
Grievance Representatives. Members of the supervisory bargaining unit shall elect one (1) Grievance Representative who shall serve as Grievance Chairman for the unit.
