Common use of REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION OF POSITION CLASSIFICATION Clause in Contracts

REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION OF POSITION CLASSIFICATION. If an employee’s job duties/responsibilities are modified by their supervisor or by the district from the original job description and/or a significant change in assigned responsibilities occurs for other reasons, an employee may request a reconsideration of the position classification. The employee must complete the form “Request for Reconsideration of Classification Recommendation”, meet with their immediate supervisor to discuss the changes, have the supervisor sign off on the form, and then submit it to the Director of Human Resources or designee. The form can be found on the school district website under “Forms and Documents”. Once this form has been submitted to the Director of Human Resources, it will be reviewed and processed through the Classified Employee Management System for a re-evaluation. The results of the re- evaluation will be submitted back to the employee within 30 days from receipt of the request. If reconsideration involves a lane change for the position classification, the lane change is effective on the date of the approval of the change. The deadline for submitting a reconsideration request is October 15th. A request may be made once every two years unless extraordinary circumstances have occurred to alter a job within the two-year period.
