Request for Sole Arbitrator. i) The Employer and the Union may, by written agreement for any grievance or grievances, substitute a sole arbitrator for the Board of Arbitration provided for herein (whether or not that Board has been constituted) and the single arbitrator shall possess the same powers and be subject to the same limitations as the Board of Arbitration hereunder. ii) A request for a sole arbitrator shall be addressed to the second party and shall contain the name of an arbitrator recommended to resolve the dispute.
