Requests by School Officials. All requests by any school official to summon a law enforcement officer for the purpose of making an arrest on school grounds, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:16-6.2(b)2 and 9, whether for a suspected violation of the Comprehensive Drug Reform Act or for a suspected violation of any other criminal statute, should be directed to the (designated police liaison or to the chief of the department having patrol jurisdiction). Nothing herein shall be construed in any way to preclude or discourage any person from dialing “9-1-1" to report an emergency.
