Common use of Research Integrity Clause in Contracts

Research Integrity. Research misconduct involving LLS support is contrary to the interests of LLS and the patients and their families it seeks to serve, as well as to the integrity of research, and to the conservation of donor funds. The Parties hereby agree to follow the Sponsoring Institution’s policies as they relate to Research Misconduct and confirm that they are at least as rigorous as those followed by the NIH (Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct 42 CFR 93). For the avoidance of doubt, the NIH defines “Research Misconduct” to mean fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, performing, or reviewing research, or in reporting research results. Research misconduct does not include honest error or differences of opinion.
