Resignation and Removal of Committee Members. Any committee or task force member may resign upon presenting his/her written resignation to the group’s chair. The resignation becomes effective immediately. Upon recommendation by the group’s chair or the Executive Committee, the President may remove a committee member for any reason which it deems adequate, including specific reference to convicted felonies, violations of the AMIA Conflict of Interest Policy or excessive absences from meetings. Before such removal, the committee member concerned will receive written notification from the President and will be granted an opportunity to be heard at a meeting of the Executive Committee.
