Respective Roles of SEA and UFS. A. Both parties to this Agreement recognize the Shawnee Education Association as the sole representative of the faculty in all matters affecting wages, hours, or terms and other conditions of employment, and the continuation, modification, or deletion of an existing provision to this Collective Bargaining Agreement. Both parties to this Agreement recognize the University Faculty Senate or other organizations jointly approved by the UFS and the Board of Trustees, as long as they exist, as the representative for all academic matters that do not pertain to or affect wages, hours, or terms and other conditions of employment. B. Both parties recognize and affirm the importance of faculty participation in the governance of the University on all matters related to the overall academic mission of the University that do not pertain to or affect wages, hours and other conditions of employment. Any changes in policies or procedures that directly impact the academic mission of the University shall be in accordance with the Faculty Senate Constitution. C. Revisions to University policies that directly impact provisions of this Agreement and/or wages, hours or other terms and conditions of employment as defined by ORC 4117 will be addressed between the Association and the University in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
