Responsibility for Imposition of Discipline. A decision to issue positive corrective action, documented constructive counseling or a written reprimand pursuant to progressive disciplinary action will be made by the member's immediate supervisor where the member was assigned at the time of the incident. The decision to issue corrective/disciplinary action (or inaction) and the level of corrective/disciplinary action is subject to review by the chain of command. A member’s immediate supervisor shall be held responsible and accountable for issuing appropriate corrective/disciplinary action.
