Common use of RESTRICTION ON WORKING HOURS Clause in Contracts

RESTRICTION ON WORKING HOURS. Subject to any provision to the contrary contained in the Contract, none of the Works shall, save as hereinafter provided, be carried on during the night or on locally recognised days of rest without the consent of the Engineer. Provided that the provisions of this Clause shall not be applicable in the case of any work which it is customary to carry out by multiple shifts.
