RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. Unless otherwise specified by the Employer as being in an area that could represent a conflict of interest, employees shall not be restricted in engaging in other employment outside the hours they are required to work for the Employer.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 12.01 Unless otherwise specified by NAV CANADA as being in an area that could represent a conflict of interest, employees shall not be restricted in engaging in other employment outside the hours they are required to work for NAV CANADA.
12.02 Notwithstanding Article 12.01, it is expected that if full-time employees engage in part-time outside employment, NAV CANADA’s facilities or equipment will not be used to conduct such business.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 8.01 (1) When an employee wishes to carry on any business or employment outside his/her regularly scheduled hours of duty he/she shall notify the Employer in writing of the nature of such business or employment.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 10.01 An employee shall not be restricted from engaging in other employment or activities outside the hours she/he is required to work for the Employer unless the Employer specifically states that, in its opinion, such outside employment or activities involves a conflict of interest.
10.02 An employee shall not engage in outside employment or activities if the hours or responsibilities involved are likely to impair her/his ability to perform her/his Alliance duties in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
10.03 It is the responsibility of each employee to advise the Employer of any outside employment and/or activity which may be considered a conflict as envisaged in Article 10.01 and/or 10.

RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 12.01 An employee shall not be restricted in engaging in other employment or activities outside the hours she is required to work for the Employer unless the Employer can demonstrate that such outside employment or activities involves a conflict of interest.
12.02 An employee shall not engage in outside employment or activities if the hours or responsibilities involved are likely to impair her ability to perform her Natural Resources Union duties in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 9.01 When an employee wishes to carry on any business or employment outside his regularly scheduled hours of duty he shall notify the Employer in writing of the nature of such business or employment.
9.02 When the Employer desires to prohibit an employee's engagement in business or employment in business outside his regularly scheduled hours of duty, such employee will be notified in writing together with the reason for withholding such permission.
9.03 Employees are prohibited from carrying on any business or employment outside their regularly scheduled hours of duty when such business or employment is such that:
(a) a conflict of duties may develop between an employee's regular work and his outside interest; and
(b) certain knowledge and information available only to the Association personnel place the individual in a position where he can exploit the knowledge or information for personal gain.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT. 32.01 In keeping with NRC’s Conflict of Interest and Post- Employment Code, employees are responsible for taking such action as is necessary to prevent real, potential or apparent conflicts of interests. Participation of NRC employees in a professional capacity in the activities of external organizations, for instance by teaching or serving as adjunct professor in a university, is often in the public interest and employees shall not be restricted in engaging in such employment outside the hours they are required to work for the Council.
32.02 Other external activities such as serving as an officer or a director of a company or external organization must be assessed carefully to determine if they could expose the employee to a conflict of interest situation. In this regard, employees should consult with their Director General (their Vice-President or the President when they report directly to such persons) to receive guidance on whether or not the contemplated professional activities outside of their duties at NRC are compatible with the public interest and their duties at NRC. Employees may also seek advice from the Secretary General with regard to the impact of planned activities in terms of the requirements of the Conflict of Interest and Post-Employment Code.
