COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. Amend Sub-Clause 41.1 as follows: Delete the words “as soon as is reasonably possible” in the first sentence and replace with “within the period stated in the Appendix to Bid”.
COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. The execution of the Works by the Contractor shall be deemed to have been commenced from the Appointed Date.
COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. The Contractor shall commence the Works as soon as is reasonably possible after the receipt by him of a notice to this effect from the Engineer, which notice shall be issued within the time stated in the delivery schedule. Thereafter, the Contractor shall proceed with the Works with due expedition and without delay.

Except as otherwise specified in the Particular Conditions of Contract, the Commencement Date shall be the date at which the following precedent conditions have all been fulfilled and the Engineer’s notification recording the agreement of both Parties on such fulfilment and instructing to commence the Works is received by the Contractor:

(2) if no date is specified in the Letter of Award, on the date specified in an instruction in writing to that effect from the Superintending Officer. The Time for Completion shall run from the date on which the Contractor is to commence the Works under this Clause.
COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. 39.1 Except otherwise specified in the PCC, the Commencement Date shall be the date at which the following precedent conditions have all been fulfilled and the Project Manager’s instruction recording the agreement of both Parties on such fulfilment and instructing to commence the Works is received by the Contractor:
(a) signing of the Contract Agreement by both parties upon approval of the by relevant authorities;
(b) possession of the Site given to the Contractor as required for the commencement of the Works; and
(c) receipt by the Contractor of the Advance Payment under GCC Clause 73 provided that the corresponding Bank Guarantee has been delivered by the Contractor, if any.
COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. Following the signing of the contract by both parties, The UNDP Croatia appointed Chief Engineer will issue a written notice of possession of site which will be regarded as commencement of the works in accordance with Clause 41 of the General Conditions. The Contractor will be instructed to commence the works.
