Restrictions on Closures of Railway Passenger Services or Railway Facilities. 7.1 Except to the extent that the Secretary of State agrees otherwise, LNER shall not: (a) cease to operate; (b) cease to secure the operation of; or (c) propose to terminate the use of, any Station (or part of a Station) or any railway passenger service over a Route where such cessation or proposal might result in a Closure. 7.2 If any procedures are commenced under Part 4 of the Railways Act 2005 in relation to a Closure, LNER shall, at its own cost and to the extent so requested by the Secretary of State, take such action as the Secretary of State may require in order to enable the Secretary of State to comply with any duty imposed on him under Part 4 of the Railways Act 2005 in relation to such Closure.
