After the expiration of the retention periods set forth above, an employee may request in writing that the disciplinary documents regarding a written reprimand or suspension be removed from their personnel file. The County shall remove the disciplinary documents from the employee's personnel file upon the employee's written request if the employee has (1) met the County's expected standards during the retention period, and (2) has received no subsequent disciplinary action during the applicable retention period.
