Common use of Retiree Health Savings Accounts Clause in Contracts

Retiree Health Savings Accounts. a) Effective after October 1, 2006, tax deferred retiree health savings accounts were created, subject to applicable tax laws, for active employees. The City in initially paid ten dollars ($10.00) per month into each account. Each employee was initially required to pay at least ten dollars ($10.00) per month into their respective account. b) Effective on October 1, 2009, the following fixed/regular contributions shall be made each month into the employee's tax deferred health savings account, based on the employee's years of service, by the City and by each employee: Under 10 years of service: Zero From 10 to 19 years of service: $10.00 per month 20 or more years of service: $25.00 per month
