Retirement Incentive Amount. Upon retirement after twenty (20) years of service in the District, the teacher will receive the following: $6,000 plus .33 of daily rate for unused sick leave, capped at a maximum payment of $12,000. In order to receive this benefit, the teacher must give the District ninety (90) calendar days notice prior to their date of resignation for the purpose of retirement. The District shall post the vacancy, if the position is going to be filled, within five (5) business days of the Office of Human Resources receiving the official notification.
