Return to Duty From Leaves to Any Position. A. The granting of a leave of absence shall constitute an automatic guarantee that the teacher, if he desires, shall be re-employed upon termination of their leave. An extension of a leave of absence must be requested in writing by March 15 any year or at least thirty (30) working days before the termination of the leave for a second semester return. If no extension of a leave is granted, the employee must notify the district of their intention to return to work by April 15 or twenty (20) working days prior to the beginning of the second semester. If no response is made by the employee by the required date, the employee's termination of employment becomes automatic.
