Common use of Review of Qualifications Clause in Contracts

Review of Qualifications. When selecting which employee will be laid off, the Sheriff will review the qualifications of the employee with the least seniority in the affected job class. If the Sheriff finds an employee with less seniority has qualifications which are needed by the department and those qualifications are equal to or greater than those of an employee with greater seniority, and the documented performance of the employee with lesser seniority is better than that of the more senior employee the County may layoff the employee with the higher seniority.
