Standby. An employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside the normal working hours for that particular employee, shall receive standby pay in the amount of $2.00 per hour for all hours on standby. Standby pay shall, however, cease where an employee is called into work under Article 15.06 above and works during the period of standby."
Standby. Standby. Any law enforcement employee or fire protection employee who is required by the Employer to be available for immediate return to duty, under conditions which do not allow the employee reasonable use of the time waiting to be called back to duty for his or her own purposes, shall be deemed to be in standby status. Time in standby status shall be considered time worked for regular compensation and overtime compensation purposes.
Standby. An employee required to standby or remain available for call-back duty on other than regular scheduled hours shall be paid at the rate of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour of standby time. Where such standby falls on any of the designated holidays listed in the collective agreement, the employee shall be paid at the rate of three dollars ($3.00) per hour of standby time. Hours worked for call-back shall be deducted from hours for which the employee receives standby pay. However, an employee shall be entitled to a minimum of five dollars ($5.00) for each eight hour period on standby even if called back to work.
Standby. (a) A standby duty roster and schedule may be established at locations when, in the opinion of NAV CANADA, it is warranted by operating conditions.
(b) An employee designated for standby duty shall be available during his or her period of standby duty at a known telephone number and be able to report for duty as quickly as possible if called.
(c) An employee on standby duty shall be compensated at the rate of one-half (1/2) hour for each four (4) hour period or portion thereof for which he or she has been designated as being on standby duty. No compensation shall be granted for the total period of standby duty if the employee is unable to report for duty when required.
(d) An employee on standby who is called in to work and who returns to the workplace shall be entitled to the greater of:
(i) compensation equivalent to three (3) hours’ pay at the applicable rate for overtime; except that this minimum shall only apply once during a single period of eight (8) hours.
(ii) compensation at the applicable rate for his or her overtime worked. and shall receive credit under this clause for the full four (4) hour period of standby duty in which he or she is called out.
(e) An employee receiving calls from his or her manager or a person delegated by his or her manager concerning urgent operational matters requiring them to work will be compensated by one and one-half (1 ½) hours’ pay at the straight time rate. Where a call or the work exceeds one hour, he or she shall be entitled to the compensation applicable under clause 33.06(a).
(f) Travel time spent by the employee called back to work or returning to his or her residence shall not constitute time worked.
(g) NAV CANADA agrees that in areas and in circumstances where electronic paging devices are both practicable and efficient, they will be provided without cost to those employees on standby duty.
(a) When an employee, after having completed his or her normal daily hours of work, has left his or her place of work and prior to reporting for his or her next regular scheduled work period, is called back to work and returns to the workplace for a period of non-contiguous overtime he or she shall be entitled to the greater of:
(i) compensation equivalent to three (3) hours’ pay at the applicable rate for overtime
(ii) compensation at the applicable rate for overtime worked.
(b) Travel time spent by the employee called back to work or returning to his or her residence shall not constitute time worked.

Standby. When an Employee is instructed by the Company to hold in readiness at the Employee’s place of residence or other agreed place of residence for a call to work after scheduled working hours, the Employee will be paid at ordinary rates for the time so held in readiness.
Standby. (a) Effective November 10, 2009, an employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby outside her or his regularly scheduled working hours shall receive standby pay in the amount of three dollars and thirty cents ($3.30) per hour for the period of standby scheduled by the Employer. Where such standby duty falls on a weekend or paid holiday, the employee shall receive standby pay in the amount of four dollars and ninety cents ($4.90) per hour. Standby pay shall, however, cease where the employee is called in to work.
(b) Where the employee is required to be on-standby outside her/his regular hours of work, she/he shall receive the on-call premium in accordance with Article 16.13
(a) When the employee’s response to telephone calls from the Home does not necessitate travel, she/he shall be paid one and one- half times the regular hourly rate for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes or for the duration of the call (whichever is the more advantageous). The employee shall keep a log of all calls and submit it to the Director of Care or designate. The employee cannot receive pay for other calls received during the same thirty (30) minute period. However, if the employee must return to the Home, she/he shall be paid in accordance with 16.08.
Standby. (a) i) The Hospital will notify the Local President or designate prior to initiating ongoing standby assignments on any unit.
Standby. The following provisions shall apply to all employees:
(a) Employees who stand by for a call to work between the end of a regular day shift on the first day of work in a regular work week as defined in Clause 11.1 (excluding public holidays) and the commencement of a regular day shift on the last day of work in the regular work week shall be paid one (1) hour's pay at the employee's regular rate of pay for each period of eight (8) hours that the employee stands by, in addition to any callout pay to which there may be entitlement under Clause 8.2.
(b) Employees who stand by for a call to work at any time except employees who stand by for a call to work under Clause 8.3(a) shall be paid one (1) hour's pay at the employee's regular rate of pay for each period of six (6) hours that the employee stands by in addition to any callout pay to which there may be entitlement under Clause 8.2.
(c) Where the period of time which an employee stands by under this Clause 8.3 exceeds a multiple of six (6) hours or eight (8) hours (as the case may be) the employee shall be paid one (1) hour's pay at the rate provided in this Clause 8.3 for the remainder of the standby time unless the remainder is not more than one-half (½) of the standby period of six (6) hours or eight (8) hours (as the case may be) in which event the amount payable to the employee for the remainder shall be one-half (½) hour's pay at the rate provided in this Clause 8.3.
Standby. A. An overtime-eligible employee is in standby status while waiting to be engaged to work by the Employer and both of the following conditions exist:
1. The employee is required to be present at a specified location or is immediately available to be contacted. The location may be the employee's home or other specific location, but not a work site away from home.
2. The Employer requires the employee to be prepared to report immediately for work if the need arises, although the need might not arise.
B. Standby status will not be concurrent with work time.
C. Employees on standby status will be compensated at a rate of seven percent (7%) of their hourly base salary for time spent in standby status.
