Common use of RIF Waiver and Hold Harmless Clause in Contracts

RIF Waiver and Hold Harmless. If any driver suffers a reduction in work hours as a result of the route selection procedures described above, the Union and each individual employee hereby agree to waive any rights they may have to a thirty (30) day notice of reduction in force under such circumstances pursuant to the School Code and/or pursuant to Article 5 of this Agreement. Furthermore, the Union shall indemnify and hold harmless the Board, its members, officers, agents and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, complaints, suits, costs, fees, back pay or other forms of liability which arise out of or by reason of the Board’s reliance on the aforementioned waiver provision.
