Common use of Right to Request Hearing Clause in Contracts

Right to Request Hearing. The Unit Member may request a hearing on the charges by submitting a properly signed and dated “Request For Hearing” Form to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources or designee not later than ten (10) working days after service of the Notice of Disciplinary Action upon the Unit Member. Failure of the Unit Member to submit a “Request For Hearing” Form as prescribed herein shall constitute a waiver of the employee’s right to a hearing and the Board of Trustees may act upon the charge(s) without further notice.
