Risk of Statutory Resolution. The recovery and resolution regimes in certain markets may empower resolution authorities to intervene if a financial institution or its parent company becomes non-viable. Such intervention may take the form of a bail-in, through the writing down of certain claims of unsecured creditors of the failing institution and/or conversion of unsecured debt claims to equity.
