Room Condition. A. The University agrees to provide, and the Licensee agrees to maintain, the assigned room and all public areas in and around the immediate building(s) accessible to the Licensee in a clean, safe and sanitary condition. Upon termination of this License Agreement, the Licensee should leave the assigned room, its furnishings, and its equipment in as good an order and condition as the same were upon commencement of the Licensee’s occupancy, reasonable wear and tear excepted. University housing staff members will conduct an inventory of furnishings and assess of room damages, if any, to the responsible individual(s). Any personal property left in a room following the expiration or termination of the License Agreement shall be deemed abandoned and shall be immediately disposed. The university is responsible for the maintenance of life safety equipment. This equipment includes sprinkler systems, hardwired smoke and heat detectors, fire alarm wiring, indicators and pull stations, and fire extinguishers. The student may not alter or tamper with this equipment. Self-installed lofts, bed risers, and cinderblocks are not permitted in the University.
C. There university residence halls for safety reasons. The student may rent a loft from the university’s approved vendors only. The student will be expected to remove immediately lofts not approved by the university. The university assumes no responsibility for the safety or stability of a self-installed loft or the consequences of having a loft in the student’s assigned room. There is a replacement charge for mailbox keys and/or access cards that are not returned. The cost for key replacement is stated when the Student student checks into their his/her assigned space. Such charges may be assessed at any time during the student’s occupancy. Mailbox keys provided though HRL may not be duplicated.

The University is not liable for the failure or interruption of utilities or from conditions resulting from failure or interruption of the same. The University does not provide liability insurance for theft or damage of personal property of residents who are assigned to University Residence Halls or University leased off-campus apartments at Xxxx Xxx Arms apartments. Students who live in these locations are advised to carry an insurance policy for their personal property, or have their parent’s/guardian’s insurance policy extended to cover their University residence. With the exception of Xxxx Xxx Arms apartments, students who are assigned to University-leased off-campus apartments have renters insurance included in their housing rate. This renter’s insurance policy includes $20,000 in personal property coverage for damage and theft and $100,000 in liability coverage. Failure to do so may result in the student being liable for any damages incurred. Residents are permitted to personalize their rooms with the exception of painting or permanent decorations. D. When leaving registered with Residence Life staff, and all construction must be removed by the University Residence Halls at residents prior to the end of the year year. As such, you have accepted the "responsibility for any loss or when terminating housing during theft of personal property (either yours or your guests'), or for damages or destruction of such property by fire, water, or any other cause. All residents are advised to procure insurance against such eventualities, since the school year, the Student shall follow the prescribed check-out procedures. A student leaving the University Residence Hall during the year must notify HRL by submitting a housing cancellation form at least 48 hours prior to leaving. Room Condition. A. The University agrees to provide, provide and the Licensee resident agrees to maintain, maintain the assigned room and all public areas in and around the immediate building(s) accessible to the Licensee resident in a clean, safe safe, and sanitary condition. Upon termination of this License Agreementagreement, the Licensee licensee should leave the assigned room, its furnishings, and its equipment in as good an order and condition as the same were upon commencement of the Licenseelicensee’s occupancy, reasonable wear and tear excepted. University housing staff members will conduct complete an inventory of furnishings and assess an assessment of room damages, if any, ; charges will be assessed to the responsible individual(s). C. Licensee shall not make no any cosmetic or material alterations in the space, space without express written permission from the director of OCRS or their designee; shall not damage nor permit the damage to of any part of the space,; shall not do or permit the doing of anything that shall constitute a fire or health hazard; and shall not permit the accumulation of waste and refuse within the space. Violation of these terms and conditions by the Student licensee may be the basis considered sufficient reason for disciplinary action, including, but not limited to, dismissal from the University Residence Halls residence halls and possibly, possibly the University.
C. There D. Self-installed lofts are not permitted in Marymount University Residence Halls for safety reasons. Licensees will be expected to remove non-University approved lofts immediately. The University assumes no responsibility for the safety or stability of an installed loft or the consequences of having a loft in a licensee room.
E. The University does not insure the personal property of any licensee on or off campus. The University has no responsibility for any theft, damage, destruction, loss, etc., of any personal property including, but not limited to, money, valuables, equipment or any personal property whatsoever belonging to or in the custody of the licensee, whether caused by intentional or negligent act or failure to act or natural causes, fire or other casualty. The University is not liable for the failure or interruption of utilities or from conditions resulting from failure or interruption of the same. The University does not provide liability insurance for theft or damage of personal property of licensee, and licensees are advised to carry an insurance policy for their personal property, or have their parent’s/guardian’s insurance policy extended to their campus residence.
F. Non-returned or lost room keys will result in the assessment of a replacement charge for mailbox keys and/or access cards that are not returnedcharge. The cost for key replacement of keys is stated when outlined at the Student time a licensee checks into their assigned space. Mailbox keys provided though HRL Such charges may be assessed at any time during the licensee’s residence. Keys must be returned in accordance with published check-out procedures. Licensees who fail to follow these procedures will be assessed the replacement charge. Xxxx will not be duplicatedaccepted by mail after a resident has checked out of their room.
D. G. When leaving the University Residence Halls at residence hall on the end of the year confirmed departure dates as stated on application or when terminating housing during the school yearsummer, the Student shall licensee agrees to follow official checkout procedures with a member of the prescribed checkUniversity residence hall staff, and to turn in the key(s) AT THE TIME OF CHECK-out proceduresOUT. A student licensee leaving the University Residence Hall residence halls during the year summer must notify HRL by submitting a housing cancellation form at least 48 hours OCRS in writing of such intent prior to leaving. HRL may assess Xxxxxxxx also agrees to leave his/her space “broom clean” at the time of CHECKOUT; and if upon inspection by University residence hall staff at or about time of CHECKOUT, it is determined that the vacated space is not in “broom clean” condition, licensee agrees to pay the University the appropriate cleaning service charge. When applicable, a $50 penalty to refund of housing charges will date from the Student’s account for failing to follow the prescribed checkout proceduresofficial CHECKOUT date.

E. Self-installed lofts, bed risers, and cinderblocks are not permitted in University Residential Facility for safety reasons. The Student may rent a loft from a University-approved vendor only. The Student shall

The Student also agrees to leave his or her Housing Assignment in “move-in condition” at the time of checkout; and if, upon inspection by University HRL staff at or about time of checkout, it is determined that the vacated Housing Assignment is not in reasonable “move-in condition,” the Student agrees to pay the University a cleaning service charge and/or repair costs associated with damage to the room and/or furnishings.
