Common use of Room Furnishings Clause in Contracts

Room Furnishings. Any room furnishing added by the Student must be free standing, and no part of one’s personal furnishing may be attached, wedged, or secured in any manner to the ceiling, floor, walls, doors, or University furnishings in the room/apartment. No item may be placed that obstructs direct access to the doors or windows, thereby hindering evacuation. No University furnishings or equipment/appliances may be altered from their intended design or removed from the room by the Student or the Student’s guest(s).
